Welcome to the NaviNet & PyPilot DIY Autopilot Community!

This group was created to help sailors share knowledge, experience, and support each other in building a powerful, affordable marine autopilot based on the acclaimed PyPilot software — originally developed by sean depagnier, and proven over tens of thousands of nautical miles worldwide.

NaviNet has developed a dedicated hardware platform and a modern web-based application that includes:

• MFD capabilities

• Support for NMEA2000, SeaTalkNG, and NMEA0183

• Seamless integration with PyPilot , openCPN , and any chart plotters

Our goal is to give every sailor the option to build their own autopilot at a budget-friendly cost using high-quality hardware components that can be purchased directly by group members.
